Deacon William R. Benedetto, Director of Religious Education, extends a warm welcome.
The Queen of Peace Religious Education Program teaches THE GOOD NEWS to children who attend public school in grades 1 – 8.
Classes are held in the Queen of Peace Grammar School from September thru May and are available for families residing in Queen of Peace Parish, which includes North Arlington and that area of Kearny north of Seeley Avenue from Passaic Avenue to Schuyler Avenue.
Grades 1 thru 7 have a choice of meeting on Sunday from 9:00 to 10:15 A. M. or Monday from 3:30 to 4:45 P. M.
Grade 8 meets on Monday evenings from 7 to 8:15 PM.
Per Archdiocesan guidelines religious education and sacramental preparation are provided by the parish where the family resides. Catholic School students should receive the sacraments in their home parish, not the parish where the school is located.
Sacramental preparation is provided by the Religious Education Program. Sacramental preparation is separate from and in addition to religious education provided by Queen of Peace Elementary and Queen of Peace High School.
Families with children attending Queen of Peace Grammar School or High School, who reside outside Queen of Peace Parish, and request that their children receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, or Confirmation at Queen of Peace Church, must present a letter from their pastor allowing Queen of Peace to administer the sacrament.
